I LOVE the baby stage and it's going by all too quickly! Maleia seems to be attaching to us amazingly well although she will reach out for other people on occasion (especially if they have dark skin). She still prefers me and will cry if she sees me walk away. She LOVES to be held. She watches everything so she probably likes the view from my arms better than the floor. She is such a content child.
The bowel movements have improved with Flax Seed oil, but her multiple night wakings are still tough. We won't start sleep training until we feel like she is definitely more attached. Maleia can crawl like the wind. She can go up the two steps from our family room into our living room in a flash! Within the last two weeks she is pulling herself up on everything possible and using it to help her walk! She is thoughtful, watchful, and giggles when she thinks something is funny.
She REALLY likes table food even though I'm still pushing the baby food. Her favorite are carrots and pears right now. She has 4 teeth, two on the top and two on the bottom. She went to the mountains to see the snow and the beach for the first time this month! She was also sick for the first time with us (cough/cold/fever). So sad. It was the first time since being home that I realized we still have a ways to go in learning how to comfort her when she's not the content baby we know her to be!
I'm having oodles of fun dressing her. She is adorable in everything. I can't wait until she has more hair. Ellie and Calen get so excited when they hear her say, "Ma...ma....ma..." or see her walking around the coffee table. If there is music on in the room, or even just a beat, she moves to it. She could be sitting, or standing, but when the music starts she starts bouncing. Seeing all three of them playing side by side is just wonderful. Words can't describe it. Enjoy the pictures!
